Swim into Beauty

Sorry I am so late on this.  Here lately I get home and all I want to do is sleep, I am so tired all the time.  But camp keeps me busy.

Today I have for you the June Ipsy Glam bag.  This month is all about summer beauty and swimming!  YAY!  Below is what I received in my bag.

J.Cat Beauty Lipitude Hydrating Lip Stain  – Full Size at $5.99

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer- Sample Size $9.00

Lavanilla Laboratories The healthy body butter in Pure Vanilla- Sample Size

Aurora Intensive Eyeliner Pen in the color Blackberry- Full Size$7.99

tre’STiQue Mini Shadow Crayon in the color Kona Coffee- Full Size $10.66

Overall I was extremely pleased with my bag this month.  I am getting a lot of use out of all of these products.  I am loving the primer from smashbox, I am obsessed with the eyeliner, and the body butter.   I could do without the lip stain, its just not my color, and the shadow crayon is a great base.

Say Yes

So I recently picked up a birchbox box to see what all of the hype is about.  Tati, from GlamLifeGuru had this deal with the company that you could get a box for $1.  Yep that’s right, $1.  So I scooped up the deal right away.

I am kind of up in the air about it to be honest with you.  This is what I received in my June Birch box:

Catherine Malandrino Style De Paris parfume

Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow

Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner

Number 4 Super Comb Prep and Protect

Supergoop! Everyday SPF 50 with Cellular Response Technology

Bonus Item: L Erickson Grab & Go Ponytail Holder

I am sorry that I don’t have any photos for this post, I ran out of time to get them all taken and uploaded.

I really like the BB Cream and the Eyeliner.  I love to the Comb prep and protect.  And I absolutely love the pony holder.

I will give this another shot to see whether I really want to keep getting this box or not.  If I do, I am considering doing an Ipsy VS Birchbox, what are your thoughts, or do you want them to remain separate?

Hey everyone!  Sorry I am a day late, yesterday was insane and I didn’t get to opportunity to sit down and write this all out for you all.  So without further ado, here is my May Ipsy Glambag.  This month’s theme is Jetsetter.

First up is the Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose Primer Pencil.  That’s a mouth full!  I am really happy with this product.  It is exactly what I needed!  It isn’t greasy or anything and it really makes your lip color last and prevents feathering.  I got this in a sample but mostly full size.  It retails for $16.  The value of the one I received was $ 12.80

When I got the pencil it also came with two sample lip glosses.  I got the colors failbait and bittersweet.  Gorgeous colors.  I may have to purchase failbait.

Next I received the Chella Eyebrow Color Pencil in the color Tantalizing Taupe.  The formula is great on this product.  I am just starting to get into brow products so this is a great first step.  I got a full size which retails for $18.00

I also received these eye patches from Klorane.  They are the smoothing and relaxing eye patches.  I have always wanted to try these out so I am stoked that I finally got some in my bag!  Full price is at 7 sets of 2 patches for $21.  The value of my sample is $6.00

With summer right around the corner, this next product will surely come in handy.  CoTZ Tinted sun screen.  This retails for $19.99 for a 42.5g tube.  My sample is .35 g making my sample worth $.50

Last but not least probably my favorite product out of this months bag is another brush.  I really liked the last one that I received from this brand so I was ecstatic to see that I was getting another!  This is the Tapered Blending Brush #205.  It is really soft and easy to use.  I really really like this brush.  This is full size and retails for $12.00

This month’s bag was really good.  I am really excited about most of the products in it.  the total value of this months bag is: $49.30

Beautifully Bohemian

It’s that time of the month again ipsters.  Our Ipsy Glam Bags are starting to arrive in our mailboxes.  This month’s theme was Beautifully Bohemian.  Right up my alley!  I am in love with this month’s bag.  It is so pretty.  So here is a look at what I received in my bag this month.20150413_193717

First up is an eyeliner.  This is Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof eyeliner in Shimmering Black.  This eyeliner retails for $15.  Ipsters received a full size.  It is black with silver glitter in it, but it has a smooth application.  And the glitter is so small and fine that it just gives a glow to the liner.  I beautiful color and I love wearing it.  I have not stopped since I got it!

20150413_193202 (1)

This is Mullein and Sparrow’s Lip and Cheek stain.  There is no color name that I can tell.  This is the mini and retails for $10.  I am not really all that impressed with this product.  It will be used as a balm because there is no color pay off unless you dig your finger into it and really lather it on.  It is kinds greasy in texture and as my skin is going through a break out phase, it will not ever be used as a cheek stain….Good concept, but it needs a little work.  It does however work great as a balm.  I wish the container would actually stay closed.  But is smells great.  I love anything citrus.

Next we have another Hikari product.  Full size blush in the color Tango.  It retails for $15.  I like their products.  This one is just okay for me.  The product is a little chalky, but the color pay off is amazing.  If you work with it, it doesn’t look chalky when applied.  It is a beautiful color and a great addition to my collection, as I only have three blushes at the moment….I have never been a blush girl because of my rosacea.  I am branching out and this one will do nicely.

You can never go wrong with another eye shadow, especially a nude one.  This is Nude fit from the The Balm’s Nude Dude palate.  The palate retails for $36, making this beautiful shadow’s value at $3.  This is a gorgeous shad of copper.  It is perfect for an all over shade to slap on it a hurry, on the lower lash line to brighten the look or as a crease color.  I love this…makes me want to buy the whole pallet.

20150413_193015 (1)Lat but not least is a hair serum by Theorie.  This is the Argon Oil Ultimate Reform Hair Serum.  The full size retails for $42, making this sample $3.08.  I just used this product this morning.  So far I really like it.  It is light for an oil based serum.  My hair doesn’t fee greasy or heavy.  And my hair is really really soft.  I really don’t like the stopper in the bottle though, I probably spent 10 minutes trying to get out a couple of drops on my hand….need to come up with a better solution…If you have any suggestions for that let me know!  I may have to purchase the large bottle of this.

the grand total value of this months bag is….. $46.08!

Ipsy is a monthly subscription that is $10 a month and free shipping.  You get 4-5 full or deluxe sample size products. You can Sign up here to start receiving your monthly bag.

I am in love with this months bag.  I will get a lot of use out of most of these products.  Many of which, just might end up in my monthly favorites.

If you are an ipster, tell me what you received in your bag.  I would love to know!

Floral Fantasy

It’s that time of the month again.  Hey all, I am here today with another Ipsy Glam bag.  March is all about the flowers…The theme for this month is floral fantasy.  If you don’t know what ipsy is, its a $10 monthly subscription service.  Every month you will receive 4-5 deluxe sample or full size products in a makeup bag.  This is a great way to explore new brands or things that you would normally pass up in the store.  You will get things from all types of brands from drug store to high end and everything in between

March ipsySo here is a look at what I received in this month’s Glam Bag:

NYX Butter Lipstick in the color Hunk (full Size) : $6.00

Acure Day Cream (deluxe sample): $10.00

pur~lisse pur`delicate gentle soy milk cleanser (deluxe sample): $6.43

Boo-Boo Cover-up Concealer (Deluxe Sample): $8.00

Marsk Mineral Eye Shadow in Fifty Shades (Deluxe Sample): $4.00

The value of this months bag is: $31.43

I am excited about the eye shadow and the day cream.  I am not really all that into the really dark shade of the lipstick, unless I can sheer it out a little trial and error is in order.  We are headed into spring so the brighter the better.  The concealer I could do without, I have three now that I don’t use, I don’t need them so I don’t really use them.  Although this particular concealer is supposed to help with the healing process.  The Cleanser is always a good thing to get, especially when you run out and these little samples are great for traveling.

This month could have been better, I am not really into it this month…  But I haven’t had the subscription for long and this is really the first bag that I have received that I really don’t care for. Can we do better next month ipsy?

Its that time of the month again….Ipsy Time!  I get so excited when this comes in the mail.  I mean seriously, it s freaking pink mailer bag!

Any who this month’s theme is #ipsylove, and with it being February, that’s not really all that surprising!  So without further ado, here is what I received in this months ipsy bag.

20150217_170621City Color Cosmetics Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini- full size at $4.99

Joya Composition No. 1 Parfum Oil- Sample at $15.00

Luxie Beauty Large Angles Face Brush #504- Full Size at $16.00 but on sale now for $8.00

Mitchell and Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil- Sample at $15.00

Model Co Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini- Full Size at $22.00

Making the value total of this bag at $72.00.  Holy Cow!

Overall this is a great bag, there are quite a few high end products, which makes the value that much higher.  I will get a lot of use out of all of these products.  I am most excited about the facial oil and the brush!  I am really impressed with this months bag!

I really like the blush color.  It’s a peachy color with gold shimmer, but not too much to make you shine.  And it is super pigmented.  I really like the facial oil.  I have really been into using oils here lately and it smells great.  Not that big of a fan of the parfum oil.  It has a great formula but I am not a fan of the scent.  I love the brush.  It is really soft and works really well.  And last but not least the lip stain…..where to begin.  The color is great.  I am not that adventurous with my lip colors, give me a nude or nude pink, I work at the y so I try not to be too exotic with my lip choices.  The color sheers out if you blot after applying.  the formula is fantastic, it’s not patchy or anything and really opaque.  But the smell….SO NOT A FAN!!!!!  It smells horrible.

January 2015 Favorites

So this year, I have decided to do a Favorites post each month, kinda like the YouTube gals do, but in written form.  So here it goes

Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless foundation and powder.  I am in the color 120 Classic Ivory.  I am loving this foundation.  I have a really hard time finding one that matches my skin tone and color in the drugstore, but this one is a dead on match.  It goes on easily and lasts almost all day.

Eyes:  I have gotten back to my powder shadows again and I have really been reaching for my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. It is great for everyday use and its easy to take on the go.

Mascara: I am loving the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes this month.  I have the waterproof version, but recently got another in my ipsy bag, and I love it, just as much as the waterproof version.

Lips: This month has been all about keeping my lips moist and healthy so the Bite Beauty Agave lip mask is where it’s at this month.

Nails:  Can I just say, OMG.  These two polishes are amazeballs!  These two are Topaz and Good Day from Glisten and Glow and Nicole from Young Wild and Polished on Youtube. These are gorgeous.  I won’t got into great detail because I have already review them here: Glisten and Glow Review.

So that is it for my January Favorites.  Let me know in the comments below what you are loving this month!

Fresh Start

I am actually pretty excited about this years first ipsy glambag.  January’s theme is Fresh Start and here is a look at what I received in my ipsy bag:

Finally got in my @ipsy bag #januaryglambag #ipsy

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer: Sample $11.66

Malin + Goetz Lip Balm in Mojito: Sample $9.00

Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in : Sample $2.90

Total Value of Bag is:$33.51

I am fairly sure that I will get a lot of use out of all of these products.  I am excited about the shadow and liner, I could always use more right?  lol.  The primer is good, because I need to branch out a find something better than what I am currently using.  The lip balm is good too, I can throw that in my bag and use that any time!  the face peel is good because I am almost out of my rose stem cell mask. YAY!

Overall a really good bag to get this month.  Let me know what you got in your ipsy Glam Bag?  Did you like what you got?  What are you or are you not excited about?

Thinking of You- December 2014

Alright all you ipsters, its that time of the month again!  I just recieved my ipsy bag in the mail.  The theme this month is Thinking of you.  Here is what I recieved in this months bag:

Coolway Boost Repair Treatment-Deluxe Sample: $4.00

Crown Brush Infinity Shadow.Crease Duet Brush: $6.99

NYX Butter Lip Balm-full size: $4.00

Pixi By Petra Fairy Dust-Full size: $10.00

The grand total of this bag is: $32.99

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription that is $10 a month.  You get 4-5 Deluxe sample or full size beauty items.  I already own a full size of the mascara and love it, so that will see a lot of love when I finish the ones that I am currently using.  I have never tried any pixi products but and anxious to see what they are all about.  the lip balm is great to throw in my purse and have just in case I need it and it has a hint of color, so that great too.  I haven’t used th brush yet, but I have heard a lot of good things about it so it looks promising!  I am always looking for the next thing in hair care since I am exposed to chlorine on a daily basis, so I am excited to tray that out.  I will let you know how that goes!

Overall I am pretty happy with this months goodies, There isnt anything that I wont really use and most of it will get a lot of attention from here on out.
